How to Change the Displayed Statistic on the Chart?
The statistics which will be available for selection in the Display data section are based on what was arranged in the Query tab. There are multiple output styles available when using crosstab i.e., mean, standard deviation, mean + standard deviation, median, minimum, maximum, % of Top-2-Box, % of Top-3-Box. To modify the statistic shown on the chart, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the Display data section located on the right ribbon of the Compose tab.
2. Inside the Display data section, you will find the “Statistic” option.
3. Click on the "Statistic" option, and you will see a list of all the available statistics that were previously configured in your Query.
If you link a query with a pivot chart you need to keep in mind that in Pivot there are no output styles that can combine multiple statistics. The query can be constructed in the following ways:
By using calculations for category variables - then all used calculations will be treated as statistics in one branch in Compose
By using numeric variables with a chosen statistic - then each instance of numeric variable will create a separate branch in Compose.
