In this segment, we will cover general display options related to the charts component in Compose. Many of the options are often consistent across all chart types. However, in the event of any variations, we will provide comprehensive explanations in dedicated articles focusing on the specific chart types.
In order to use this chart component, please do the following:

In Query: Ensure that you have a crosstab or pivot with data that can be connected to your chart.

In Compose: Drag your selected chart component from the left ribbon and drop it on the page.

Adding queries: To add queries to your chart, you can either select the "Add Query" button that is displayed in the middle of the newly created Line chart, or you can go to the right ribbon and select "Add Query" there. Once you click on "Add Query", you will need to select a query that you require in your analysis.

In this article we will focus on the Slide Settings options.
Slide Settings Overview
In order to describe all the settings, we will use the basic line chart as an example. Please remember that line chart settings might differ slightly from other chart component types. In the page settings, there are main sections under which you can find lots of options, most of them are common but there are some which are available only with certain chart types or in certain configurations.
1. Particular chart query

Query: by using this option you can change the query that is connected to the chart to another preferred one.

Chart type: here you can change the type of your chart to another one available on the list. The list will vary depending on the type of the chart, in case of the circular charts your list would include: spider, radar and range.

Axis type: here you can adjust the type of the axis, you can choose between primary and secondary types. This option is not available if you have a circular chart e.g., spider chart.

Move: arranges the display of the data on the chart if you have more than one query attached. It gives you the possibility to decide which data should be displayed in the front of the chart and which in the background. This option is active only if there are more than two queries linked to the chart.

Remove query: by using this option you can remove the query from your chart, the selected chart component will still be present on your page but without any data connected to it.
2. Display data

Categories: here you can change the category to another one by clicking the drop-down arrow and selecting a variable from the list. If you go to the edit tool next to the categories option, you can modify the item list within the selected category in the Query tab without the need to switch between tabs;

Series: here you can change the series to another, by clicking the drop-down arrow and selecting a variable from the list. If you go to the edit tool next to the series option, you can modify the item list within the selected series in the Query tab without the need to switch between tabs;

Statistic: at this point, you can adjust the statistic to your specific requirements by choosing it from the list. The list comprises the statistics that are available in the query you have linked to the chart;

Pages: here you will find questions that were not used in categories, series and statistics. These can be used as filters to make your analysis more refined.

3. Query visual options

Color palette: Here you can adjust the palette, edit it and save it so that you can use it in your next report. You can modify the color of your one-series chart by selecting and changing the first color in the palette to your preferred choice. When working with charts featuring multiple data series, remember that colors are assigned based on the order of your data, as indicated in the color palette. Ensure a label maintains a consistent color by using the option to assign colors to specific labels in your data visualization tool.

Highlight all series: if you activate this option you will have all the series labels visible.
4. Add Query
This option gives you the possibility to add another query to your chart.
5. Category axis (not available on Spider chart, Radar chart and Circle Range chart).

Axis visible: if activated, the axis is visible on the chart;

Grid visible: if activated, the grid is visible on the chart;

Labels visible: if activated, the labels are visible on the chart.
Label space size: here you can adjust the space size of the label. If you adjust the horizontal category axis, it may impact the text direction, as the chart will optimize the text direction in order to fit most labels. This can result in diagonal or vertical labels.
6. Primary axis

Axis visible: if activated, the axis is visible on the chart.

Min value: here you can enter the minimum value that will be displayed on the chart. This option supports integers or percentages (e.g., 1 or 100%).

Max value: here you can enter the maximum value that will be displayed on the chart. This option supports integers or percentages (e.g., 1 or 100%).
Secondary axis works in the same way as primary axis (if activated)
7. Visual options
Orientation: here you can switch between horizontal and vertical chart orientation. This option is not available for circular charts.
Show all categories: if activated, you will have all the categories displayed on the page. In case you want to display only a set of categories, you can deactivate that option and you will be able to adjust the number of categories in a separate option which appears only if the Show all categories is deactivated. If the number of categories set here is lower than the number of all available categories, the scroll function is available in interactive mode.
Arrange: if you have more than one element on the page, you can use this option to arrange its position on the page. It arranges the elements on the chart level only.
Different Axis Options depending on the selected chart type
If you select Spider chart, Radar chart, Circle range chart, the following additional options will be available:

Category labels visible: once activated, labels will be displayed on the chart;

Grid visible: if activated, the grid is visible on the chart;

Min value: here you can enter the minimum value that will be displayed on the chart. This option supports integers or percentages (e.g., 1 or 100%);

Max value: here you can enter the maximum value that will be displayed on the chart. This option supports integers or percentages (e.g., 1 or 100%).
Different Visual Options depending on the selected chart type
If you select Bar chart or Column chart, the following additional options will be available:

Label align: it will help you adjust the value label position on the chart.

Bar style: here you can adjust the style of the bar on your chart, you can select either “normal” or “shifted”. If you have two or more bars with the reference to similar data and if you select “shifted” then the bars will overlap.

Bar size: here you can change the size of the bars displayed on your chart.
If you select Stacked column chart or Stacked bar chart, the following additional option will be available:

Label align: this option is available under Visual options.
If you select Line chart, Area chart and Spider chart, the following additional options will be available:

Indicator type: it gives you an opportunity to change the indicator to a different shape, e.g., square, box, half square, cut square.

Indicator background: activating this option will give a slight shadow to your indicator on the chart.

Indicator glow: activating this option will result in your indicator being accentuated with a gray circle.

Line type: here you can adjust the type of the line used on your chart.
If you select Area chart the following additional option will be available:

Curve type: this option allows you to smooth the edges on the area chart.
