Publishing An Imported Study Family
Up to this point, the study family and any datasets within it are only available to the user who has been importing and editing the data.
After completing the importing and editing of the dataset(s), the study family and all of the datasets included can be published for access by other users.
The publishing process follows the same steps and flow as the other features that require or involve publishing.
The user/author specifies study family to permission, the Administrator will receive a notification and will either approve or reject the publishing request.
Publishing A User Imported Study Family As A System Resource
To begin the publishing process, expand the menu to the right of the study family and select the Publish option.
A window will display the proposed title of the project.
There is an optional description field to allow for additional text to accompany the publishing request.
Click OK to complete the permission request.
The Administrator will be notified that a study family has been published and is waiting for approval.
The user/author of the study family and datasets will receive an email update when the Administrator reviews and either approves or rejects the publishing request.
After the Administrator approves the publishing request, the status of the study family will change.
The menu which allowed for editing the study family, that was previously available to the right of the study family drop-down options is no longer available.
Cancelling a Publishing Request
A study family that is awaiting publishing can be cancelled.
To cancel the publishing request, expand the menu to the right of the study family and select the Cancel Publish Request option.
Click OK to confirm the cancellation.
