Rows

Results can be calculated in columns or rows. This symbol indicates that they are currently calculated in rows, as it is not grayed out.

The blue funnel indicates that there is a subset defined in this question.

Results can be calculated in different ways depending on the question type. For numeric questions to change it left click the numeric question. Read more in  Selecting an Output Style.

 

For categorical questions, instead of using a context menu, there is a dedicated # tab item. This tab item is nested beneath the categorical question when it is placed in the calculation panel. However, if the question is placed in the other panel (other than the calculation one), the tab item stands alone in the calculation panel. This tab item encompasses all the calculation settings.
