Imported data files get converted into datasets in Analyze.
Datasets are organized in Analyze by study families.
Typically, a separate dataset will be maintained for each year of an ongoing survey.
Each of these datasets that are related will be included under a study family.
1) Start with a raw data file
2) The data file is imported into Analyze and converted to a dataset
3) Datasets are organized in Analyze by study families
All Datasets listed are included under the 'ABC Survey' Study Family.
Each of the Datasets are derived from the same survey and share a common data structure that allows for convenient trending.
Shared Questions and Structure In Datasets Of The Same Study Family
Datasets within the same Study Family use a shared and consistent variable mapping and structure.
This common survey structure matches shared questions across all Datasets in a study family, when possible.
This helps ensure that the same question can be used for analysis across all years, countries, etc.
Data Import Maintains the Shared Survey Structure
When multiple Datasets are imported under the same Study Family, the common survey structure is automatically applied to help ensure as much consistency as possible across each Dataset.
