TabReference is available with all its options in each place in Compose, which supports expressions, i.e. Grid cells, text boxes, widgets, etc. We can take advantage of Table input transformations there as well, but since none of those places accept a Table as an input, we need to extract a single value (be it a number or a string) information from the Table.
Now, we will focus on specific functions that can help us achieve this.
So far, when discussing single value inputs, we tried to retrieve a value (or other information) from a specific cell, e.g., Alpina product satisfaction in the most recent period.
There are many scenarios where we are not able to be that specific and want our selection to follow a certain rule rather than a precise selection (e.g., take make with the highest value rather than specifically make X), or we need an input that is a result of a calculation based on the whole Table rather than a specific cell (e.g., take the maximum value from the Table).
