Interface Overview

The majority of the interface for the Table Viewer does not differ from the one for the slide type pages. The whole app header, including the File menu and Export options, is consistent for all page types. Also, switching between regular and fullscreen mode works exactly the same. Tables also expose page settings and parameters in the right ribbon using the same interface as slides type pages. Let’s focus here on the differences between the two sections in the Viewing mode.

Browsing Tables

In the current version, the Tables ribbon displays a list of Table titles rather than thumbnails. The titles represent the names of tabs as defined in the Query module. The tabs marked as Hidden in the Viewing mode in the Query module will not appear in the list at all. Note that in the current version, the list of Tables is a flat one, so it does not reflect any groupings prepared in Query. All visible Tables are listed in the order corresponding to the order from the Query module. Navigating the list is possible with standard keyboard shortcuts and the Enter button.

Table Toolbar

For the active Table an additional toolbar is available on top of the table. It supports following actions:

Note that in the current version the toolbar (and features included there) is not accessible in full screen mode.

Page Settings

The right ribbon settings panel works in the same way as for slide type pages. There are two types of settings that can appear in this panel for Tables:
For each Table, users can decide to show or hide the footnote section. Note that this setting is page-specific, so it only applies to the active Table when changed.
If the original Query definition included questions in the “Pages” section of Query, those questions would be available in the right ribbon settings panel as page switchers, analogically to the page switcher option in the Query spreadsheet. The selected page values are included in the Table footnotes.

Export options

In the Tables section, the same export menu is available for slide-type pages; however, the only available output for export of Tables is .xlsx format. The export menu also provides all the additional export options known from the Query spreadsheet options, e.g., some additional formatting options and treatment of Pages in the Query definition.
