Interface Overview

Browsing Slides

The report's pages are presented in the page ribbon on the left side of the interface (1). This ribbon can be closed if needed (by clicking the icon on the left (2)). Even with page ribbon closed, navigation through pages is possible either with the help of the floating page switcher on the bottom of the screen (3) or with keyboard shortcuts (down+up, right+left, pageDown+pageUp, End+Home).

Slide Settings

On the right side of the interface, you can find a ribbon that presents the page settings (4) and parameters (5) available for the active page, if any were made available by the author. You can open and close those ribbons by clicking on the icons in the right panel. The right ribbon settings will appear on top of the active page when opened.

Export Options

The reports support the same exporting options (including pptx and pdf formats) as pages in Compose, and the export can be triggered with a dedicated download button (6).

File Menu

For users that do not have access to authoring capabilities, since it is impossible to save any changes in the opened report, the File menu (7) is limited now to only Open and Close actions. If the user chooses a different report to which at least View access has been granted, it will open directly in the Viewing mode. If the report is closed, it is intended that the user is taken back to Content Services, if possible within the context to which the current report belongs. Analogical action can be triggered with the “x” button above the page settings (8).

The bottom floating menu also allows switching on and off the “fullscreen mode” (9). It is also possible to exit the fullscreen mode with the Esc button. In the fullscreen mode, all the side panels (page, settings, and parameter ribbons) are still available but are hidden by default to provide a fullscreen view of the report pages. In order to access them, you need to hover over the left or right side of the screen. Panels with the ribbon icons will pop up and the selected ribbon can be opened - it will then float over the page and can be closed by clicking anywhere outside the ribbon.

Note that pages in the Viewing mode are always displayed with the CI page layout selected by the author. Changing the page layout is only possible in Storybuilding and Authoring modes.
