Linked references to data points are supported through Expressions.
By using Expressions, users can create dynamic data point links to the dataset, so when updates to the data occur, any linked data points will automatically update on the slide.
Create a tab and include the question that is going to be used in the expression.
Be sure to format the question in the tab to reflect the options that will be available in the expression
(i.e. if a Top 2 Box is intended to be included as an expression in the slide, format the question in the tab as a Top 2 Box).
Next, go to Compose and start building a slide.
Click on the slide’s text box and the Expressions option [EXPR] will appear in the menu at the bottom-right.
Click the EXPR tab to open the Expressions Editor.
The Edit Expression window will appear.
Click the Data References option in the upper-right corner and the Insert Data Reference window will appear.
Click the drop-down menus to specify the references.
If the Expression is validated and the syntax is correct, the previous red warning message will turn to a green confirmation and the value will be displayed.
This Expression will display 35.7%.
Click Apply to exit the Expression Editor.
The Expression will appear in an orange block.
Optional text can be typed before or after the Expression.
Click outside of the slide title region in the main body of the slide to exit the slide title edit mode.
The Expression data reference is now dynamically linked to the dataset.
If the data that feeds the slide is changed, the new data reference will be updated automatically.
