Top / Bottom Box & Range Filtering in Recodes

When recoding a numeric question, users can define top/bottom box behavior and range filtering.

Top/bottom box behavior and range filtering can be turned on while recoding the numeric question.
There is a new menu icon located in the upper right corner of the recode window, next to the question type selector.
Click the menu icon to show the options.

The menu options consist of two sections, one for top-box behavior and the other for range filtering.
By default, the initial settings for both options are turned off.

Turn on range filtering by checking the Enable setting.
To turn on top-box behavior, select the option that specifies the orientation of the responses.
If the responses are listed in descending order with the most positive at the top of the list, select the First is top setting.
If the responses are listed in ascending order with the most positive at the bottom of the list, select the Last is top setting.

% of Top-2-Box and % of Top-3-Box will now be available in the list of default output styles for the recode.

After Range Filtering is enabled in the recode, the Range of Values option will become available when using subset.

The Range of Values feature allows to specify the endpoints in a numeric question or recode when using a subset.
