Free Selection in Tables

Manually clicking and dragging within the data cells to make a selection is also supported.
This is referred to as a free selection.

Select a cell to start the free selection.
Hold down the left mouse button and begin dragging to form a rectangle over other cells in the data region.
Release the mouse to complete the free selection.
Once a selection of cells is made, it is also possible to add additional selections to the cells in the table.
Note: Avoid including the header labels as part of the free selection.
Clicking on content in the header sections will initiate a different function within the edit mode of table, which is "reordering the labels by dragging and dropping."
