Verbatim questions can be included in Rows, Columns, and Filters, but not in Pages.
In this example, the ‘Vehicle Make’ question is included in Columns and the verbatim question is included in Rows.
The output style for the verbatim question was changed from percentages to unweighted counts.
The output is displayed in a traditional crosstab format.
All of the verbatims included in the question are listed on the left.
If the verbatim response was given for a particular make, there will be data results or a count listed. Otherwise, if that verbatim does not apply, there will be a zero.
Nesting Verbatim Questions
In this example, both the ‘vehicle make’ question and the verbatim question are included in Rows.
The verbatim question is nested below the ‘make’ question.
The output is displayed by separate ‘vehicle makes’ on the left and only the verbatim responses that apply to that particular make are displayed.
