Transformations

Transformations allow the user to refer calculations' results to a decided base and find out about differences and relations between the scores. More information about how to apply transformation calculations to your project can be found in Index calculations. Available transformations in Analyze: Index, Difference, % difference.

Index is the ratio of value to selected base multiplied by 100.
E.g. When calculating Index of Satisfaction with product for Make A in relation to the Sample total, you need to divide A’s score (8.1119) by Sample total score (8.0605) and multiply by 100. The result would be*:

Difference is obtained by subtracting a base value from the analyzed score.
E.g. Difference between Overall satisfaction with product of A make and Sample total equal*:

% difference is a ratio of one score to a base value minus 1.
E.g. % difference of Make A score and Total sample score is*:

*Please keep in mind that Analyze always performs calculations on unrounded values, so the results presented in the Spreadsheet can be different (more accurate) that the ones presented above. The presented examples are intended to explain the logic of calculations - not the precise values.
