Create New Range Recode

 
Range recodes can be created only for numeric questions. They can be saved as Numeric or Category recoded questions.

To add new range enter the beginning and the end of range. Remember that ranges can not overlap. If they do you will see an error message.
Then choose a name for new range and click OK.
 
 
 
 

Renaming and joining labels

 
When you have two labels where:
 
  •  only one of them is marked as "no answer" or
  •  they have different numeric values assigned
    you will not be able to rename one as the other.
     
     
Case 1:
You will not be able to rename A as B.
 
 
 
Case 2:
You can rename A as B.
 
 
As an effect two labels will be joined into one.

Exporting / importing range recodes

 
Export / import all your range recodes. It can be very handy when working with multiple range recodes.
