It is possible to change an existing tab to a different template (e.g. Crosstab to Frequency Analysis) by right-clicking on the tab and choosing "Convert to another tab template".
Once this option is clicked, a "Convert to another tab template" modal should appear. In this modal you can choose the template that you would like to convert your current tab too.
If a template is not available or compatible for conversion, it will be identified with a grey circular icon, instead of a green or yellow.
You can also convert one tab template to another by clicking the "Change" button next to the current tab template name:
The following options are what are available when changing templates from a Crosstab.
When changing from a Crosstab, it’s possible to use a Pivot template or visualization option such as Structure Analysis, Frequency Analysis, Scatterplot, Bar/Line Chart, or Pie/Donut Chart.
The yellow dot beside the options indicate that it’s possible to convert the template from Crosstab to another option, but the change will not be lossless (i.e. some information from the Crosstab Lite query will not be included in the new template).
After selecting one of the conversion options listed above, the Tab Conversion Warning message may appear.
Click Proceed to continue with the conversion or click Make copy to keep the existing tab as is, but make a copy of it before continuing with the conversion.
Examples of information that will be dropped are other types of formatting not assigned as the Main Statistic, such as Sample Total, Subset Total, and Unweighted Sample count.
After the the conversion completes, a status message will appear at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
If conversion was successful, the "No errors" message will appear.
If any errors were encountered during conversion, a description of the error(s) will be indicated with a red warning.
