Choose at least one value of the categorical variable to create a subset.
To select/unselect a consecutive group of variables, click the first item, press and hold down the Shift key, and then click the last item.
To select/unselect a consecutive group of variables starting from the first one, press and hold down the Shift key, then click the last item.
You can also navigate with keyboard arrows.
The "Select all" function applies only to visible variables. This means that if you search for "high school," click "Select all" and then remove the search filter—only variables that include "high school" will be selected.
The same applies to deselect all function.
Clicking on "Value of response to another question" allows you to leave in your subset only the cases for which the value of the variable for which we are choosing the subset is equal to any of the values of the second variable. This second variable can be selected from a list that appears when clicking on the button "Choose." See the screenshot below for reference.
