In order to combine dictionaries, go to 'Connect', select studies you would like to combine (only studies with a special icon can be modified). Then go to the Query tab and open the three dot menu in the Questions section. On the list you will have 'Edit questions and sections' and you will need to select the study you want to work on.
In the Data Import section look for a question that has an alternative dictionary. As a question can have multiple alternate dictionaries, make sure to select the proper one, i.e., the one you would like to combine the dictionary from the current dataset. The alternate dictionary can be chosen from the drop down list at the top of the 4th column. When the dictionary is selected, click the three dot menu at the top of the third column and then click the “Combine with an alternate dictionary” option.
