‘Choose a structure’ - here you can select the current structure used for the dataset or create a new structure by selecting ‘Add new’.
Structure can be assigned to the active dataset by clicking on ‘Set as default for current versions’ (this is also a process for assigning structures to versions). The option is not available when already working with a structure assigned to the dataset.
‘Assign a structure’ - here you can set a structure as a default for one or many datasets.
4. ‘Rename’ - here you can change the name of the structure.
5. ‘Remove’ - here you can remove the created structure. The main ‘Consolidated’ structure cannot be removed. After clicking ‘Remove’ the following pop-up window appears if the a dataset was assigned to the structure:
If the a dataset was not assigned to the structure and you remove the structure then a pop-up will be displayed:
6. ‘Hide’- here you can hide the Consolidated structure.
Limited editing information
When a structure, which is not a default one, is selected then the following message will be displayed:
Editing attributes and structure of a base version
There is an option to change the structure and attributes of the base version by going to the version drop-down menu and selecting Edit.
There is a possibility to assign the structure of the dataset in the Compare versions mode.
You can choose the currently displayed structure by selecting the structure from the list as presented on the screenshot.
Unassigned questions
In Data Import, when working with multiple structures you will see a section called ‘Unassigned questions’. It is recommended that all questions that do not appear in the given dataset (or datasets if one structure is used in more than one dataset) should be kept outside of the structure i.e. places in ‘Unassigned questions’.
